TGR Learning Lab at Cobbs Creek, Philadelphia |
Join us at the new TGR Learning Lab at Cobbs Creek on Friday, December 12th for a very special Carpenters' Company members only event. We will learn about the history of Cobbs Creek, the process of rejuvinating the property, the Company members and firms involved in the process, and what it means for the community and the city of Philadelphia.
Doors will open at 9:30am with coffee and sweets so guests can tour the recently dedicated Tiger Woods Learning Lab prior to the event.
The presentation “Restoring a Philadelphia Icon” will begin at 10:30 am at the TRG Learning Lab with opening remarks by Susan Slawson, the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation for the City of Philadelphia and TRG Learning Lab Executive Director Meridith Foote. Fellow member Donald H. Dissinger AIA, and Project Development Director for the Cobbs Creek Foundation will provide an overview of the project followed by a panel discussion with the leadership of the companies involved with the project. Carpenters’ Company member firms will be featured, including LF Driscoll, Blackney Hayes, EwingCole and Langan Engineering.
Panelists will include Bob Allen Director of Parks and Recreation, Chris Stigler of Blackney Hayes, Ryan Leichtweisz of EwingCole, Michael Wolf from LF Driscoll, Ricky Burrell of KS Engineering, Brian Conlin of Langan Engineering and Robert Baldwin of Resource Environmental Services.
We’ll conclude the morning with a tour of the new Community and Golf Center with lunch at the brand-new Little Horse Tavern by the Fitler Club of Philadelphia.
