In partnership with the Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia and AIA Philadelphia, we are happy to announce a morning presentation of the Preservation Alliance Report, Growing Through Preservation: The Economic Impact of Historic Preservation in Philadelphia, presented by Hanna Stark, the Preservation Alliance's Director of Policy and Communications.
This presentation will explore this comprehensive report quantifying how historic preservation contributes to the region’s economy, housing affordability, and community vitality. The report details historic rehabilitation investments, job creation, tax revenues, and the role of preservation in shaping vibrant, diverse neighborhoods. Attendees will gain insights into how preservation strategies intersect with economic development, urban design, and public policy, and how these factors influence planning, revitalization, and equitable growth in Philadelphia. The session will include key findings from the report and implications for practitioners in architecture, planning, development, and public policy.
